Adventure Details
Embark on a 3 to 4-day Odyssea Open Water Diver Certification course, where a highly-trained PADI Instructor will guide you through scuba diving basics in a relaxed and supportive setting. This course equips you with the necessary skills and knowledge to explore the underwater world both locally and internationally, making you an ambassador for marine conservation. The Bronze Tier package includes course eLearning, all gear, custom scheduling, semi-private class sizes, pool sessions, a San Diego shore dive, and a day of boat diving. The itinerary for the certification course is divided into two parts. The first part involves completing PADI eLearning at your own pace, covering scuba diving principles and terminology. The second part includes practicing with scuba gear in a pool setting to build confidence before open water dives. The course prerequisites include swimming abilities, medical fitness for diving, and comfort in the water, with additional requirements such as treading water for 10 minutes and swimming specific distances without aids. For those needing extra time to complete the course, additional dives can be arranged for an additional fee. Medical requirements for scuba diving must be met, with the need for physician approval in certain health conditions or recent surgeries. While most dive shops require students to bring their own mask, fins, and snorkel, Odyssea provides all necessary gear in the Tier pricing, with options to purchase personal gear at a discount. Students and certified divers can also enjoy a lifelong 10% discount on gear through partner companies. - Scuba certification course with experienced PADI Instructor - Customizable training schedule to fit your availability - 10% off all gear for life through partner companies
