The PADI Underwater Navigator course is designed for certified divers looking to fine-tune their underwater observation skills and learn to use their compass more accurately. This 1.5-day course is perfect for scuba divers who want to become leaders in the water, knowing exactly where they are and where they are going. By taking this course, participants will have fun challenging themselves while improving their navigation skills. During the course, participants will learn various tools of the trade, including navigation using natural clues and compass headings. Through three scuba dives, they will practice estimating distance underwater, navigating with a compass, marking or relocating submerged objects, and even creating underwater maps. Additionally, the first dive of this specialty course may count as an Adventure Dive towards the participant's Advanced Open Water Diver certification. In addition to basic scuba equipment, participants will need a compass and underwater slate for the course. Depending on the instructor's recommendation, other gear such as marker buoys or lines and reels may be suggested to help participants stay oriented underwater. By completing the PADI Underwater Navigator course, divers will enhance their skills and become more confident in their ability to navigate underwater environments effectively. - Improve underwater navigation skills - Learn to use a compass accurately - Gain confidence in leading dives and exploring underwater environments.
