Embark on a 2-2.5 hour guided boat adventure on the Weeki Wachee River in Florida, where you will have the opportunity to observe wild manatees in their natural habitat. Our Guardian Guides, certified by the Save the Manatees Club, are committed to education, stewardship, and responsible ecotourism, ensuring a memorable and informative experience for all participants. A portion of each reservation is donated to manatee conservation, allowing you to contribute to the protection of these gentle giants. This beginner-friendly adventure requires an intermediate level of physicality due to the current of the river during manatee season. The tour begins at Mary's Fish Camp and offers a unique blend of wild and urban scenery, with opportunities to spot various species of animals including birds, turtles, fish, otters, dolphins, and more. Reservations are required for all tours, and participants must adhere to guidelines such as no alcohol or smoking, and a weight limit of 250 pounds per paddler. While manatee sightings cannot be guaranteed on every tour, our experienced guides will take you to areas where these gentle creatures are typically active. Manatee season runs from November 15th to March 31st, and guests should be prepared for the possibility of tannic-colored water due to weather conditions.
