Escape the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnect with nature on a sea kayaking and hiking adventure at Rock Island State Park. This wilderness-designated island, free of cars and bikes, offers a stunningly beautiful setting for your Great Lakes kayak journey. The adventure includes a crossing from Washington Island, circumnavigating Rock Island, and setting up camp on the beach for a memorable sunset experience. The duration of the adventure is from 10am to 2pm, giving you plenty of time to explore the natural beauty of Rock Island State Park. Your experienced kayak guide, who also happens to be a chef, will prepare a delicious dinner over an open fire while you relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. If weather conditions permit, you may even have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset paddle or swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Great Lakes. Please note that participants are responsible for getting to Jackson Harbor on Washington Island by 10:00 am on the day of the adventure. You will need to take a ferry from the Door County mainland to Washington Island. After booking your spot, you will receive a confirmation email with a checklist of items to bring for camping. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
