The lesson begins with a warm aloha from experienced instructors, followed by a detailed ocean safety briefing and land lesson. All necessary surf equipment, including a board, reef shoes, and rash guard, is provided to ensure a fun and exciting experience. Surf with the only Billabong Surf School in Maui, offering the smallest group sizes and the most exclusive private lessons in South Maui. Each lesson includes a rashguard, surfboard, reef shoes, and a dedicated instructor. Photos are available for purchase to capture your memorable experience. Surfing takes place at Kalama Park in Kihei, with a maximum of 6 surfers per instructor. Booking for at least 2 people is required, with a focus on private or semi-private lessons for small children. For a prime surfing experience, lessons are available at 8am and 10am. Check-in is required 5 minutes before the lesson at the Waves Hawaii Surf School Van located in Kalama Park, across from the 76 gas station.
