The morning departure is recommended for the calmest sea conditions, as afternoon winds can pick up in Monterey. When preparing for your whale watching excursion, be sure to dress warmly with layers that can be easily removed, as well as long pants and closed-toed shoes. A waterproof layer is also advisable to protect against wind and potential splashing. Don't forget to bring hats or sun protection, even on overcast days, along with a camera, binoculars, water, and snacks. Please note that alcoholic beverages are available for purchase on board, and guests are not permitted to bring their own. Check-in at our office, the Discovery Whale Watch Building, and park at 245 Washington St to avoid a 30-minute parking zone.
