Get an up-close look at the only river in a modern city with five different salmon species, as well as Lake Hood, the largest seaplane base in the world. Visit the "Earthquake Park" neighborhood to see the remnants of the destruction caused by the 1964 earthquake, and stop at Point Woronzof for a selfie with views of Denali on a clear day. Wrap up the tour with a visit to a U.S. air force base to see one of the jets that protect the state and its airspace, highlighting Alaska's strategic role in global conflicts.
