Experience a thrilling two-hour paddle tour that takes you up the river one mile and just West of the Manatee River dam. As you navigate towards the dam, the river becomes narrower with challenging twists and turns, perfect for both novice and experienced stand up paddlers. Along the way, enjoy several stops to search for shark teeth, adding an exciting element to your adventure. The tour caters to ages 10 and up, starting at the Rye Preserve kayak/canoe launch with all necessary equipment provided for a safe and enjoyable experience. Participants are encouraged to bring a towel and sunscreen for added comfort during the tour. Closed-toed shoes are required if you plan to continue on to the nature hike after the paddle tour. A bottle of water will be provided, but bringing your own is recommended to stay hydrated throughout the excursion.
