Experience the thrill of surfing with an exclusive 2-hour group surf lesson led by Hawaiian lifeguards at Kahalu'u Bay. This private surf course is designed for 3-4 participants aged 11 and above, with a maximum weight limit of 250 lbs. Each student will receive personalized attention with a 2:1 student to lifeguard ratio, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience. The Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors are certified by the American Red Cross in lifeguarding, ocean rescue, CPR, AED, and first aid. The surf school experience includes a 15-minute private surf classroom coaching session at the HLSI headquarters, followed by up to 2 hours of surf time at Kahalu'u Bay. Surf boards, leashes, rash guards, and water shoes are provided, and car keys can be securely stored by the instructor at the beach park. Return surfers have the option to bypass the classroom time, allowing for more time on the water to practice and perfect their surfing skills. Participants are required to bring a towel, sunscreen (reef-safe), swim clothes, and water shoes. Swim shirts are available for rental, and all students must be able to swim and engage in intensive cardiovascular and physical activity. Parents or guardians of minor students who are not surfing must remain on location during the lesson. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
