The Wildlife Discovery Tour offers a 2.5 hour kayak adventure to explore the diverse ecosystem of Assateague Island. This popular tour focuses on marine species, birds, plants, and the famous Wild Horses of Assateague. While the priority is to find the horses, there are numerous other native species to discover along the way with the help of expert guides. Rates for the tour are $60 for adults and $45 for children, with an additional $25 entrance fee to Assateague Island National Seashore per vehicle. Participants can choose to paddle their own kayak or opt for a tandem kayak with a friend. The tour provides a hands-on and experiential experience to learn about the natural and cultural history of Assateague Island. Participants are advised to bring sun protection, weather-appropriate boating attire, water shoes or full coverage sandals, at least 32 oz of water per person, and any necessary personal medical equipment. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
