These paddleboards can also be utilized as a fun SUP surf board by experienced ocean paddlers. Rental rates at our waterfront concession in Dewey Beach are affordable, with options for 1 hour, 2 hours, or full-day rentals, along with a small Covid cleaning charge per vessel. All rentals include a paddle and life jacket, but gratuity for instructors, dock hands, or drivers is not included. For those in need of a lesson or guide, Excursions or Private Lessons are available. Be sure to bring essentials such as gratuity for dock staff, a waterproof pouch (available for purchase), sunglasses straps, a towel, a change of clothes, water to drink, sunscreen, and utilize the Park Mobile APP for seamless rental transactions. When gearing up for your paddleboarding adventure, wear moisture-wicking clothing, a bathing suit or board shorts, a hat for sun protection, and footwear for added safety. Optimal paddling times are early mornings and evenings, with wind speeds of less than 10-12 mph providing the best experience, especially for beginners.
